Ultimate Fighting Championship star Tony
Ferguson
is lucky he emerged uninjured.

According to
TMZ
on Sunday morning, Ferguson allegedly crashed his truck
into a pair of parked cars in Hollywood, California. The
lightweight was picked up around 2 a.m. local time for a
misdemeanor charge of DUI, and according to the arrest record from
the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, his bail has been set
at $30,000. TMZ subsequently stated that for refusing the field
sobriety test, he might have his driver’s license suspended.

Ferguson was allegedly driving his truck by a Hollywood nightclub,
where he struck the cars including one reported to be owned by
rapper Cash Gotti. The truck flipped on its side and stopped
moving. Remarkably, no persons were injured during the incident,
including Ferguson himself, per TMZ. A law enforcement officer told
TMZ that Ferguson “reeked of alcohol” while sporting “bloodshot
eyes.”

A local news outlet of
KTLA
disputed the TMZ report on a few key details. The Los
Angeles-based organization stated that Ferguson’s truck struck four
parked vehicles, not two. They also reported that one man was taken
to the hospital as a result, where he was to be treated for unknown
injuries.

“El Cucuy” last competed in September 2022, where he filled in as a
late-notice headliner for UFC 279 against Nate Diaz.
There, Ferguson fell short to Diaz in a hard-fought battle, and
thus extended his losing streak to five. Once the owner of a
12-fight win streak and the brief holder of the UFC interim
lightweight strap, Ferguson has not had his hand raised since 2019.
That year, Ferguson was hit with a restraining order from his wife
after a series of incidents where he claimed people were living in
his walls, he was implanted with a microchip and he splashed his
wife with holy water. Ferguson reportedly sought professional help
to resolve these matters.
